To think for real life, that is how I understand philosophy. After graduating as an anthropologist and a philosopher I began working as a business consultant. I grew to agree with Plato: The powerfull should be wise.

And yes, the ‘wise’ could grow too!

my perspective

To fully live a human life!

The great thing about thinking is that we can escape reality and reflect on it. The worst thing about thinking is that we can escape from life with it. So practically it is all about the balance between results and reflection. Intellectually it is about freedom of mind whilst being fully engaged.

First I thought this problem is mainly a corporate issue, but now I begin to see it is deeper, more extensive.

Luckily humanities continue to grow and help to escape from the answer and fact terror of empirical sciences. We need better thinking. We need better questions. Not just academically, but in everyday life. Not to prove someone wrong, but to live a better life. Not to justify any bitterness or cynicism. We need to think about life. Because we face huge questions all day. Reality throws them at us. And I like to think of actions as answers to that. However poor they might be, life constantly inspires us to think. And therefore, to grow. As a person. As a community. As a species.

Highlights

Daily life evokes pragmatism. Results breed hunger. Relationships cause fear. Human life causes both: the need to think and the tendency not to. I call it the paradox of success. This phenomenon gets more and more attention and I am deeply motivated to contribute to that. All of my videos, writings and both my websites can be seen as attempts to overcome that paradox as a species. Why? Because life is better then. And our brain is evolving that way!
